The Bowler Press is the imprint of Jarrett Morrison and was founded in 2007. It began, like many things, somewhere in the midst of a love of words and a belief in the magic of books.

Through the initiation and encouragement into book arts by some very gracious teachers — letterpress printing from the Elsteds at Barbarian Press, wood engraving from Shinsuke Minegishi, and bookbinding from Simone Mynen — I decided that a life with type, ink, and paper was my kind of life.
The press primarily prints illustrated works of classic literature in limited editions, with prospects of new works from time to time. The printing of ephemera for the press and for others assists in maintaining the establishment.
Presswork is performed on a Chandler and Price Old Style jobber — Beryl, as she is known — manufactured in 1910.
The studio is located within Rasmussen Bindery, steps from Burrard Inlet in North Vancouver.
